Our batik fabrics are made in a training and production center in Togo, where girls are trained as batiks and seamstresses free of charge. In the sewing studio traditional batik fabrics, but also bags, skirts, shoes, cases and other small useful items are made. The sale of the products helps to make the donated social enterprise financially independent. Each piece is unique, a form of expression by its producer and a work of art that was created using the traditional batik process. With 25% of the income of the social enterprise, the equipment of schools is financed or the free education of girls from socially disadvantaged backgrounds is supported in order to protect them and free them from prostitution. 100 girls were trained in the last training period. True Fabrics also donates by selling the fabrics, at least € 1 per running meter sold, to local aid projects.

We are an online based fabric store with a social conscience - and a huge selection of unique fabrics from all over the world. The best thing: at least € 1,00 per meter of fabric sold goes directly to aid projects. We work with small and medium-sized textile producers from Ghana, Togo, South Africa, Nepal, Australia, Guatemala and India. With our trade, we promote traditional handicrafts, advocate cultural diversity and ensure ecological and social processes. Each fabric is available from 0,5 meters.
