Sewing instructions binding cap from Brigitte Kreativ
MATERIAL:
Patterned cotton (50 cm with 115 cm fabric width, e.g. "Fancy prints“), Strong iron-on fleece line (20 cm at 90 cm width, e.g. from Freudenberg), suitable sewing thread, tailor's chalk, scissors
HOW TO DO IT:
The seam allowances of 1 cm on each edge are already included for all parts in the pattern: Cut the triangular cloth and the umbrella (2 x) according to the drawing from the patterned cotton fabric. Cut the screen (1 x) from the iron-on fleece line according to the drawing. Cut the edging strips into 4 cm x 20 cm. Fold in the edges of the triangular shawl 0,5 cm and 0,5 cm and stitch it tightly. On the long side of the triangular cloth, make the markings for the umbrella: 20 cm and 34 cm from the end points. Iron the insert for the umbrella onto the wrong side of a cotton fabric. Place the two umbrellas right sides together, sew the outer curve, turn the umbrella right side out, iron out the curve. Stitch the cut edges of the inner rounding together. Place the edging strips right sides together on the cut edge of the inner curve, sew, place the strip around the seam allowance on the outside and stitch with the cut edge close to the attachment seam. Place the umbrella on the triangular cloth according to the marking right sides together and stitch it up.
