Santosh, our supplier from Nepal has made it his business to create green jobs at the local level and to improve the livelihoods of everyone involved. His family company connects different actors along all production steps, from purchasing the cotton to marketing. In terms of production, the company has specialized in weaving with hand looms or “hand knotting”, in which materials such as nettles, hemp, pineapple or cotton are processed. The result: hand-woven fabrics made from natural resources. Nepal has a long history of creating beautiful and unique products through traditional manufacturing from local materials.
